MPPT controller stability

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SM72445

Hello,

I am designing a solar power system. I am thinking of using the SM72445 mppt controller. However I am puzzled by the example design in the data sheet. The controller senses the input power and the output power. The output power is a feedback signal, yet there appears to be no feedback control loop or any mention of how this controller is stabilized. How can you have a circuit with feedback and no compensation and be sure it will not oscillate?

If anyone has experience in this area and can explain, I would greatly appreciate it.

One other question. My application requires transformer isolation. So I would like to insert a transformer into the power bridge and then push the inductor and rectifier to the secondary side. Does this sound reasonable? Would I need an error amp?
