TL431B: Vref max min interpretation

Part Number: TL431B

What are the absolute max & min values of Vref and Iref when considering the deviation value?

Example data TL431BQ:

Vref min = 2483mV, Vref max = 2507mV, Vdev max = 34mV.

Iref min = ?, Iref max = 4uA, Idev max = 2.5uA.

Thank you

  • Hi Frank,

The absolute max & min values of Vref and Iref @25C @10mA are on the EC table and they are the same as the value you listed.

The Vref deviation of 34mV can appear anywhere on the operating free-air temperature range such as in the DS section 7.14 Figure 1. We do not guarantee the shape of the curves.

Vref @ 10mA considering the deviation across the whole operating free-air temperature range will just be Min = Vref min - deviation = 2449mV, Max = Vref max + deviation = 2541mV.

Same thing for Iref but we do not spec Iref min. So Max = Iref max + deviation = 4uA +2.5uA = 6.5uA.
