TL431A-Q1: The variation of ΔVREF/ΔVKA in VREF = VKA

Part Number: TL431A-Q1

Hi team,

I have a question about Electrical Characteristics on datasheet.

We are considering to use VREF direct connection to VKA.

How should I consider the variation of ΔVREF / ΔVKA?

If VKA changed 1V from normal output, what is the final VREF, VKA?

Best regards,

Tomoaki Yoshida

  • Hi Tomoaki,

With VREF directly connected to VKA, that specification does not apply. The final output voltage should be 2.495 +/- accuracy. Because of this, VKA = VREF and VKA cannot change 1V from the normal output.

The variation of ΔVREF / ΔVKA applies only for figure 21. In figure 21, the resistors R1 and R2 are used to raise the voltage of VKA. This causes VKA > VREF and be different from the normal output.

If you have any more questions, feel free to ask.
