LM3150: About LM3150 Switching frequency is changing with COT Control?

Part Number: LM3150

Dear support member

My customer used LM3150.
I have a question.

Q1
Measurement frequency was higher than the set switching frequency.

Could you teach me the reason?
Is there anything relation with COT control?

(Specification condition)
Vin: 24 V
Vout: 12 V
Iout: 8 A

(Switching frequency setting)
Ron:470kΩ
Fsw:257kHz

Ron resistance was setting 470 kΩ.
Switching frequency is setting 257 kHz.
Measurement switching frequency was 310 kHz.

Could you teach me the reason?
Is there anything relation with COT control?

Best regard.
Bob Lee.

  • Hello Bob,

Are the measurement conditions VIN: 24V, Vout: 12V and Iout=8A?

Can you also share your schematic?

    Thank you,
    Katelyn Wiggenhorn
