BQ27742-G1: Help help to review Golden image and Integration of golden image in code

Hello All,

I need Help in reviewing Golden Image

Fuel gauge : bq27742-G1 From TI

Cell : Li - Ion Rechargeable cell

MCU : STM32

We have followed learning cycle of Fual Guage.
At end of Learning Cycle, we got Golden Image.

We are having two queries

1. We need your help to review this Golden Image
2. How we can Integrate this golden image in our Firmware/code? (Any Link/Document)

Please help here.

    please share your golden image files (gg.csv and screc) for review. We will do our best to review your DF settings with the limited info we have about your cell and application. Please provide cell datasheet and application operating conditions (min/max current, voltage and temp).

    hi Palak,
    -Your update status still shows 05 meaning that you have not successfully completed learning. update status ought to be 06.
    -your design capacity still has the default of 1000mAh. That is supposed to be the value stated in your cell manufacturer data sheet which should be closer to the qmax value

    Thank you for your support.

    1. At the end of Learning Cycle, we are getting "Learning cycle successfully completed" but status is 0x05.

    Can you suggest what we need to do further to get it be completed with status 0x06?

    2. We are not getting qmax in our datasheet. can you describe qmax in detail so that we can relate with term in our datasheet?

    I suggest completing one more cycle. If qmax and resistance tables don't update, then it is likely you are using a wrong chem id or a discharge current that is close to the threshold for resistance calculation disqualification. you need to use a value between c/5 and c/10.
    qmax is the total chemical capacity of the cell. The gauge learns that. You do not need to manually change that. Its only design capacity that should be modified to the values in the manufacturer data sheet.
