  • Hi,

The difference between TPS6590378 and TPS6590379 are described in this user guide: www.ti.com/.../sliu011

    In summary:

TPS6590378: Used in the AM572x EVM, Processor rails DSPEVE, GPU, and IVA are all supplied from the same 4A power supply rail, 2 extra supply rails available

TPS6590379: Used in the AM572x IDK kit, Processor rails DSPEVE, GPU, and IVA are each supplied from separate power supply rails to allow higher current capabilities

Both devices support AM572x, AM574x, and AM571x processors. They also both support 1.35V/1.5V DDR and 3.3V/1.8V VIO.

See the diagrams in the user guide for more detailed descriptions of the two device configurations.

    Thanks,
    Nastasha
