LM5113: LM5113 package for HF applications

Hello,

I would like to use LM5113 for HF applications - 1MHz or testing for even higher switching taking care of bootstrap diode loss with EPC GaN - 300pF gate capacitance.

For this purpose, which package is better overall - WSON-10 or DSBGA-12 ?

I am aware that BGA will have lower inductance but the thermal pad is absent compared to WSON. So, I have this question which one is better overall for HF applications.

    Thank you for your interest in the LM5113 GaN driver. Either package will work with the frequency range that you have specified. However, the DSBGA package will have an edge thermally. From the datasheet, you can see that the ψJB junction-to-board characterization parameter is lower for the DSBGA version of the device. This means there is a lower thermal resistance from the die to the board.
