LMG5200: PWM inputs

Part Number: LMG5200
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: , TIDA-00909

Hi,

I want to operate LMG5200 at 1+Mhz frequency range.

The PWM signals are generated from a microcontroller (3.3V).

What all are the considerations i need to check before connecting it to the HI/LI pin of module.

What value of series/termination resistor should i be using while interfacing.

It would be helpful if you can post a sample circuit for the same.

  • Arjun,

Thank you for your interest in the LMG5200 GaN power stage. This device has TTL inputs, which means you can connect directly from the 3.3V IO pins on the microcontroller to the HI/LI pins. I do recommend including a placeholder for a series R and bypass C at each input so you can do some low-pass filtering if necessary. Typical R values will be in the 0~100ohm range, with C in the 10-100pF range. You can refer to how this was done on the LMG5200EVM-02 and on the TIDA-00909 reference design.
