LMG5200: Using LMG5200 as an class d amplifier

Part Number: LMG5200

Good afternoon.

I'm researching this component to use on a class d amplifier with an half bridge topology, and i have a question:

To get negative swing of the output voltage can i use symetrical Vcc or i have to bias the half of the Vcc and put a capacitor at the output?

Thank you

  • Hello Emanuel,

Thanks for your interest at LMG5200. LMG5200 is a half-bridge including driver inside. It works like any other discrete half-bridge solutions but with the ease to use and compact size. Therefore, you could use symmetrical VCC, which I assume is split two voltage source in series to form a half-bridge circuit with LMG5200. You can connect the mid point of your symmetrical VCC, and the switching node of LMG5200 to the two sides of AC output to realize it.

    Hope it helps. Thanks!

    Best regards,
