Dear Sir,
In one of our application using flyback DC to DC convert there is requirement to have holdup time greater the 50msec at minimum input voltage. The specification of the used supply in the application is as below:-
Input:- 19.2V to 72V DC
Output:- +12V & -12V (Total 9W)
PWM:- 100kHz using UC3843
Using 2 X 330uF capacitance at the input we are only getting less then 10msec holdup time at minimum input (19.2V DC) at rated output power. This need to be increased to more than 50msec. Simply increasing input capacitance doesn’t seems to be a solution.
Kindly suggest if some kind of high voltage energy storage techniques can be used at input, which will be activated once input voltage fails. If possible how to implement such method ?
