Hi Team,

My customer is evaluating LM5035CEVAL and asked me the purpose of R18 resistor.

Could you tell me the purpose?

(Is it damping resistor for remote UVLO enable?)

On the other hand, this UVLO resistor can't be found at LM5046 evaluation board.

My apologies for the delay, I was on vacation when this thread was assigned to me and I'm just 'catching up' now.

I looked at the schematic and data sheet and I think that the designer was trying to provide some protection to the UVLO pin in the case that someone tied the J2 board connector to a voltage higher than the 7V abs max rating for this pin. This resistor would not be necessary in a production design where the voltage at the UVLO pin is more predictable. I the resistor will provide some additional hysteresis as the internal 23uA source is turned on and off but this isn't its main function. I hope this answers your question.
