LM5045 Dead time adjustment

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM5045

Hi,

I have a question regarding the dead time adjustment (DT1) of the LM5045 controller. I would like to set it at around 1.4 uS but it seems like it has internal limit at around 600ns. Is there anyway to get around that? Thanks.

  • It is not recommended that you use a resistor larger than 100k on the RD1 and RD2 pins. This will give you the maximum dead time of about 600nS. If you need a longer time delay you could implement an external time delay on the synchronous rectifier gate drive.
