Need replacement for UCC28600 with lower UVLO

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCC28600, UCC28C43

I am looking for a replacement for the UCC28600 controller in my circuit, since I was unaware that the UVLO is set at 13.8V. I am currently using it in an isolated DC/DC flyback converter with an input range of 10-15V, output 24V @ 300mA. Power supply works fine, just will not start up with a 12V battery. See the attachment for a reference ( yes I am aware that the transformer is wired incorrectly, thanks to you guys!)

What controller can replace the UCC28600 with minimal redesign effort that has a UVLO below 10V or is adjustable? We are making a second prototype anyways, so I don't mind doing some pinswapping or the addition of a few parts. I am just overwhelmed by the sheer amount of available controllers. Thanks for the replies in advance.

  • You should consider the UCC28C43, or one of the other parts in that family (listed on the same datasheet, duty cycle and UVLO options).  Sorry but the parts are not exactly drop in replacements for the UCC28600.  Unfortunately there is no pin for pin substitute for the UCC28600 that would meet your input voltage range.
