zvs faseshift welding inverter full bridge feedback.

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UC3875

Hi There

I have simulate a faseshift welding inverter with a LVI coil I did see on the internet.

That do work nicely and now busy with the feedback, I did use a comparator for this and not

the standard UC3875 feedback normally used, I think the comparator way is better for welding

where the output has high short circuit current spikes.

See the sim of this.

feedback inverter with comparator.

and  soft switching and stable output.

  • Hi kees IJpelaar, Thank you for sharing your experience with this circuit.

  • Your welcome.

I did in simulating that it is not wise you use full fase shift, but keep it on 80 % duty cycle with the ramp adjustment, special with welding who needs

fast responses, Also nice when make a big supply for a audio amp who need also good and fast regulation, big output caps do well here making normal

    feedback possible.

Impressive chips, I however did never find the UC3860+ models for this chip, it has a variable osc, wich can make a very nice resonance inverter who is very stable for welding.
