Hi,

We are using TPS40200 ic for one of our application as a buck controller. The o/p of the controller is 5V 1A and input is 24V. We are not using ISNS and shorted to VDD.

In the faulty unit, I observed that there is no gate pulse at GDRV pin and I can see continuous  24V at the o/p instead of +5V. I have replaced the IC and observed that no fault in external MOSFET. After replacing the IC still I can see there is +24V at the o/p.

Can someone please let me know the failure modes of the IC?
