UC2824

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UC2824

Hi Guys

Currently working on a project using TI UC2824. Do anyone have a reference design on this IC in current Mode control. My input voltage range is 40-160V. Output is 28V 20A. Do anyone have the applicate note for current mode control. thanks a million

  • I do not see any application notes listed for that device. It is also nearly 20 years old. Is there some specific issue you are concerned about?
  • Yes . I could not find any application note on this IC also. Was wondering anyone has any experience using this in
current mode control. Thanks a million
  • Hi John
Yes. I was trying also to look for the application note for this device and could not find anything from Ti Website also. Was wondering has anyone attempted to design it with current mode control before and willing to share the design. thanks a million
  • I am reasonably certain that UC2824 is a voltage mode control device. It may be possible there are some reference designs, but usually they are posted in the product pages if they exist. What is your application? Maybe I can suggest a more modern part with up to date support.
  • Hi John
The design requirement currently is stuck with uc2824. But I have the option to use voltage mode control or current mode control. Not sure if u can point to me any related application note to use it in voltage mode control. Thanks. My application is to generate a constant 28V output with input voltage varying from 40V to 160V. My 28V load is subject to a small motor but mainly to another sets of switching circuitry to convert down lower voltage, given this scenario any recommendations of new ic with better supports. Thanks
