PMP6547 UCC2897A

I bought a couple of eval boards PMP6547 and after "firing them up" noticed the input voltage leads appear to be reversed?? This board is dated as  2011 release . Am I the first person to notice this or am I missing something?

  • Hi Donald,

I have asked one of our applications engineers to take a look at this for you.

  • Hi Donald,

While I don't have this ref design board in hand, I've compared the photograph of the board and the schematic and it looks like you are correct. Thanks for letting us know.

  • Sirs,

I purchases an eval board using the PMP6547 and the parts to build it last year only to find issues noted before such as incorrect silk screen. After replacing parts damaged by this, I have found the bill of materials does not match the boards sent me and data given on the website and the boards do not work.

I am very frustrated with this experience and would like to put these boards in a box and send them back to TI to either scrap or furnish me a working board with accurate documentation. I have written former TI support engineers with no response and have been unable to speak with anyone knowledgeable on these boards.

As you may have surmised, I am writing off TI as a viable supplier and looking to Linear Tech or others who have flooded me with support.

This is no way to run a railroad-IMHO-

  • Don,

I see your other issues through another thread the "missing D3 , D4 , and R19 ( board has place for) and the BOM lists R100,R103 and R102 but no place on board" E2E. I will look into this through the group responsible for building these EVM's and see if there is any help I can provide you.
