Full bridge Controller

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCC28950, UCC2895

I try to design Full-bridge Power, the followings are the parameter.

input:200Vdc-450Vdc

output:100Vdc/20A

So, please introduce recommended controllers that can be designed with this parameter.

best Regards.

  • Hello

The UCC28950 is a fully featured Phase Shifted full bridge controller which includes outputs for synchronous rectifiers. (you don't have to use them if you don't wish to. This device is normally situated on the secondary side of the PSU for better / faster transient response. You will have to use a small aux PSU (a small flyback is usual) to generate the VCC rail for this part.
The UCC2895 is a Phase Shifted Full Bridge controller. This is a simpler part than the UCC28950 and it does not include SR drives. It is usually situated on the primary side of the PSU - so you won't need an aux flyback.

At this power level and input voltage a phase shifted full bridge converter is the best solution.
