UCC27201A-Q1: UCC27201A-Q1 LO Impedance Change

Part Number: UCC27201A-Q1

For the UCC27201A-Q1 part, when the ambient temperture rises, the  Lo to GND impedance would decrease from 5Mohm to about 1Kohm in customer broad, do you think this issue is normal in the field application?  If this is normal, could you please give some explaination about this issue?

  • Hi Martin,

Thanks for considering TI for your designs and being part of TI E2E community.

LO to GND impedance is not a parameter that we test either in production or in qualification. It is also not validated during systems testing.

Therefore, I do not have the answer ready, but I will try to investigate further.

Before I go and check with our design team I would like to know few details about your design.

Can you share how are you making this measurement?

Can you share the schematic or share what other components are connected directly or indirectly with the driver?

If you are measuring the impedance using DMM, did you isolate the driver and then made the measurement from LO to GND pin?

Let us discuss in little detail and we shall get to the answer.

Again, thanks for participation and patience.

    Regards,

    Ritesh
