Let's me confirm the purpose of that watchdog timer first, what's function do you want to get from it? Maybe we have that function built in our part but not called watchdog. And what's the application of your product, any special requirements?

Thanks for the response. Watchdog means it will take one PWM input(continuously) from microcontroller. Its output is connected to reset pin of microcontroller. So, it will reset the MCU in case of no PWM(watchdog signal) input from MCU

So you want a DCDC with watchdog built in which could communicate with an external MCU, right? To make the DCDC more reliable or the MCU?

For a more reliable DCDC, some DCDC part has a "Powergood" function, like LM43603-Q1. But few parts with powergood function could meet the input voltage rate as well as the output current rate.

This is to make MCU more reliable. Power Good function will not work. In any case, if MCU got stuck somewhere, it will not be able to generate PWM output and that time we want to reset MCU for proper functioning.

Thanks for your info, sorry, I didn't find such a part could meet your requirements in our product line. it's an special application. So there is no WATCHDOG timer built in the MCU and you want to find a buck regulator with the WATCHDOG timer built in. I suggest to use an additional external WATCHDOG timer to meet the application, like TPS3851. What's your comment about it?
