Dear ,

My customer want use UCC29910A in an application of 5.5KW. I found it's not suit for this.

The demand is as follow:

INPUT: 170V~250V AC

OUTPUT: 70VDC 70A (70VDC is adjustable, the current can't above 70A)

So how to design? which device is recommend?

Hi

For high power applications like this you will need a two stage approach.

The first stage will be a PFC stage, recommend the UCC28180 controller, following by a dc/dc stage which we would recommend the UCC28950 phase shifted full bridge controller.
