TPS65154: i2c is not response

hi, i'm using tps65154 in a lcd bias application.

tps65154 works fine with its default setting, ie, avdd=8.0v, vcom=3.0v, vgh=20v, vgl=-6.8v

but it never response to i2c address 0x74(register except vcom) and 0x28(vcom). my i2c master can't get ack of the slave address phase.

I have put the wp pin low.

my i2c master is ok, since other i2c device on the same board works fine.

so any suggestion? is the i2c address in the document(0x74, 0x28) correct?

Hello,

The addresses are correct (7-bits) but you have to add the low R/W bit for writing and this means that to write on:

- VCOM you have to send 50h as address

- and for the other parameters E8h.

This is shown in the programming example in datasheet (section 5.5).

Would it be possible that you measure with a scope SCL and SDA while you try to write on one of these registers? You can try to read as well. Please confirm that the I2C interface timing requirement are met (datasheet page 10).
