TPS65177: OCP function

Hi,

Now our customer is using TPS65177 for TV. Their end customer requires them to do a OCP test.

From their information, the over current should mainly occurs for VGH rail.

During test, the panel is always damaged before TPS65177 shut down. While the part of out competitor could be OK.

The schematic is the same. Do you have any suggestion for this case?

A current limit resistor?

Hello Robin,

What is the customer doing during this "OCP test"? What part of the panel is damaged and when?

If possible, please share customer's schematic (here or privately).

Hi Diaara,

From the information of customer, they will short such as CLK (output of Level shifter). So I think, mainly the VGH and VGL power rail OCP should be considered.
