TPS65185: TPS65185 / Minimum duration of WAKEUP low pulse

Hi,

Please let me ask about minimum duration of WAKEUP low pulse.

Now my customer evaluate TPS65185 and they toggle WAKEUP pin High -> Low -> High for 80msec to reset I2C register. Then they can see that the register is not reset in rare cases at the same sample. So I'd like to know if this 80msec is enough because there is no specification about this duration.

Satoshi-san,

Edit: The device enters sleep mode after a 100ms discharge delay on VN.

Could they monitor VN to see if there is a correlation?

Hi Rick,

Actually my customer saw no this issue when they tried to extend the low duration. You commented that device fully enters sleep mode after VN has discharged, then can you let us know the low level threshold of VN to enter sleep mode?

Satoshi-san,

Actually I stand corrected, there is a 100ms minimum duration defined as the discharge delay.

This is actually detailed in section 8.3.1 but could be made clearer in the timing diagrams.
