USB2ANY is easily to be damaged

USB2ANY tools is used to download the code for TPS65156. But in the process of debugging, USB2ANY is very easy to be damaged, almost 10 until now, it is found that SDA is short to GND.

Usually it is easy to be damaged in some certain concentrated time. They are already very cautious when downloading the code to make sure the pin will not connect to high voltage node.

Any suggestion for this?

Dear Robin,

Thank you for this feedback. USB2ANY is used in multiple ways and for EVMs. I use it for all LMK and LMX devices without issues at all. You may want to consult with the TPS65156 team to see what precaution you need to take.

Hello Robin,

If you are using USB2ANY on a bus that has already pull-ups you should disable the internal pull-ups that are typically enabled in DPP GUIs. Be aware that the USB2ANY needs 3.3V on the SCL and SDA lines as pull-up voltage.
If the internal pull-ups and external pull-ups are used in parallel, there might be leakage current damaging the USB2ANY.
