TPS65150: Start UP sequence of V(VCOM), C(CPI)

Guru 20090 points
Part Number: TPS65150

Hello,

Could you please elt me know the delay time from V(CPI) to V(VCOM)?
In the datasheet P.18 figure 12, there is no delay time.
However in the customer measurement result, there is the 5ms delay from V(CPI) stabled to V(COM) start up.

Best Regards,
Ryuji

  • Hello Ryuji,

Thanks for your request. Could you prove this with a scope plot? Could you as well provide the schematic (if you do not want to share this you can send it to me via email)?

    Thank you.
    Best Regards.
    Ilona
  • Hello Ilona san,

I will check the schematics and plot and share with you.
If you have the typical information for this delay time, I appreciate if you would share the information.

    Best Regards,
    Ryuji
  • Hello Ryuji,

In Figure 26 on page 30 in the datasheet you can see that there is no delay between V(VGH) and V(VCOM).
V(CPI) should not be used by the customer, he should use V(VGH) instead. There is a direct connection from V(VS) to V(CPI) through the diodes, so V(CPI) will start at the same time as V(VS), but will only switch when td(DLY2) has passed. Is it possible that your customer is using V(CPI) as output and not V(VGH)?

    Best regards,
    Brigitte
  • Hello Ryuji,

Is there any update on this issue?
