BUF20800: About "D 14" and "D 11" of DAC MSBbyte (49 h).

Part Number: BUF20800

I have a quesiton.

【Question】
An unexpected rewrite of data occurs in an external flash ROM.

What kind of problems will occur if "1" is written to "D14" "D11" of DAC MSBbyte (49h)?

【Actual Behavior】
· The "D11 = 1" setting seems to have no problem, outputting the target voltage.
· Behavior due to "D14 = 1" setting is unknown (appears to be working normally).
However, since it is stated that "0" is set on Datasheet, we want to check the influence due to SPEC violation status.

Best regards,

Ozawa

  • Hello Ozawa,

D13 to D10 will not influence the output voltage of the programmed output. Therefore overwriting D11 with a different value is ok.

D14 has to be set to 0, otherwise unexpected behavior might occur. Therefore I do not recommend to program D14 to 1.

    Thank you for your support.

What happens as a specific problem when D 14 is set to 1?

It will be helpful if you tell me a reference example of a problem.

  • Hello Ozawa,

As we do not specify the behavior that happens when D14 is programmed to 1, I cannot give an example what will happen. Please make sure that this bit is set to 0.
