TPS65131-Q1 Datasheet we cannot find about C8 Equation.


If we chage C8  0.22uF to 2.2uF, have any side effect.?

    Hello Lawrence,

    The reference will take longer to reach the final value, so startup might look a little different with such a high VREF cap. Why do you need to increase it to such a high value?

    I'm the user of TPS65131-Q1.

    We need to increase the value of VREF cap because it can improve the waveform of startup.

    There are some waveforms of startup whit 0.22uF and 2.2uF.

    0.22uF:

    2.2uF

    Hello Kevin Lee,

    The startup looks not as expected. What is causing these voltage drops? Is there load current during startup already? Which type of load do you have?

    In general I do not expect issues with a higher reference capacitor, but I would dig more in detail in the root cause of the startup behavior.
