Hi All,

Let me ask about TLC59731. Our customer plan to drive LED from separated source with VCC as attached. Then can only VCC turn off to reduce power consumption?

Hi Sonoki,

Could you explain more detail about your question?
Do they want to supply only with VLED(using shunt regulator in Figure 3 of datasheet), or do they want to supply IC with both Vcc and VLED.

Hi Feifei-san,

I just want to know simply if only VCC can be turned off and on without any damage or unexpected behavior in the schematic I attached at previous post.

Hi Sonoki,
The IC will not be damaged if you turn on/off Vcc when VLED applied.
