TPS92640 minimum output voltage

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS92640

I am evaluating the TPS92640 for use in a low output voltage current source application.  The parametric data for the TPS92640 states that Vout min is 0V, however the datasheet leads me to believe that the Vout pin expects to see a scaled down version of the output voltage centered at 2.5V.  This would imply that the minimum output voltage is 2.5V.

Can anyone answer this?

You don't nned to keep the voltage of the VOUT pin around 2.5V. It can be much lower and close to zero. The only thing keeps it from operating at true zero output voltage is the minimum on time. You need a small output voltage to keep the required buck converter on time bigger than the minimum on time.
