Solution for driving 40A LED current

Hi Everyone,

Now our customer has been looking for LED driver that can drive 40A LED current. I tried WEBENCH LED designer with 12V input and 40A LED current , then LM3433 and LM3434 are recommended. 

These devices can be solution but please let me know if you have other solutions to meet following requirement.

  • Vin = 12V
  • # of LEDs : 1 LED (1 serial, 1 parallel)
  • Up to 40A LED current
  • PWM dimming capable

    Hi Sonoki-san,

    What is the application of a 40A LED design?
    Does it require a very fast PWM dimming response?

    I would suggest TPS92640 if PWM dimming response does not fast (within micro-second range).
    Otherwise, you may consider TPS92641 which supports Shunt-FET PWM dimming (delay ranges from a few hundred nano-second).
