HI,

I tried to research and find a way to control my RGB LEDs to run sequence, then I found LP5523. I could control a simple blink led with LP5523 but how to communicate with another LP5523. I mean, when the first LP5523 finish engine1, how the second LP5523 could know.

Hi Tuan,

TRIG pin is what you need. You can connect the 2 LP5521 TRIG pins together; when first LP5523 is done with its sequence, it can then execute the external trigger command. This will force the TRIG pin to go low and signal the second LP5523 to start its sequence. You can refer to page 48 of the datasheet for the connection diagram.

Thanks for your help, How about with 4 LP5523, I think I should use a variable to count external trigger, right.

Hi Tuan,

Yes, you can count the external trigger with variable or you can just have multiple wait for external trigger command.

As H L has said, it's easy to set each sequential LP5523 to have a different wait for trigger count, in a loop... works fine!
