WEBENCH® Tools/TPS92691: TPS92691 will not regulate current at required value

Hi,

I used Webench to design an LEd driver for the following parameters:

Vin(min) = 9V DC

Vin(max) 30V DC

Iout- 85mA

Vout = 11.2 V ( 4 led in series CREE p/no: XQE series green)

Just cant get the circuit to work i.e will not regulate at the require current, or sometimes will work when voltage input is at 12V DC but will not regulate at other voltages. Need help please - first time poster - Would it help if I share the webench design ?

Hello Ash,

Are you testing it on an EVM or a prototype board you have developed? I ask because layout is often an issue when you don't have regulation. But yes, seeing the Webench design would help. It would also help if you have your own schematic and BOM and even the layout if it isn't the EVM.

Hi Clinton,

It's on a prototype pcb with just the webench design components. I have used the same components and values outputted from the design.
