TPS92410: Part Suitabilty

Genius 5355 points
Part Number: TPS92410

Hi Support,

Customer is driving the Osram Duris E3 LED for Highbay. There will be 4 string parallel and 10++ LED in Series and they need a PWM Dimming function.

In addition, they need boost topology (non-isolated), universal input, dimming support.

Input Voltage                    :90Vac~265Vac

PF                                           :>0.95PF

Output Voltage                 :460V

Output Current                 :130mA

Current Regulation          :<2%

Standby Power                 :<0.5W

Power Efficiency              :>90%

Turn On Delay Time        :<2500mS

Dimmable                           :YES(PWM,ANALOG dimming capability as low as possible)

THD                                        :<10%

Protection                           :Output Short Circuit Protection, Output Over Voltage Protection, Output Open Circuit Protection

Is this device suitable?

Thanks.

  • Hello,

Our expert on the TPS92410 is out of the office until Monday, but that device is a linear regulator and can only provide a step-down function so it cannot boost. It also isn't very good for universal input as the extra voltage at higher voltages will all be absorbed by the linear FET. For such high voltage levels and a universal input you may want to look at some offline controllers. Perhaps the AC/DC forum would be a good place to start.

    Regards,
