TPS92630-Q1: Connecting fault and fault_s pin to EN pin

Part Number: TPS92630-Q1

Hi Team,

When a fault occurs, either on fault or fault_s, I want the entire device to shut down. In order to implement this, can I tie both fault pins to the EN pin?

I am trying to implement a one-out-all-out scheme with the device. If connecting the fault outputs to the EN pin is not possible, is there another recommendation to implement one-out-all-out functionality?

Thank you,

Jared

    Hi Jared,

To realize one-fails-all-fail function, just connect the FAULT and FAULT_S pins of all the devices together.

In normal operation, FAULT is weakly pulled up by an internal pullup current source. If any fault scenario occurs, the FAULT bus is strongly pulled low by the internal pulldown current source.

one can connect up to 15 TPS92630-Q1 FAULT and FAULT_S pins together. When one or more devices have errors, the respective FAULT̅ pins go low, pulling the connected FAULT bus down and shutting down all device outputs.

    Best Regards,
