Hi,

We got a question from the customer about LP8860-Q1.
Could you help us?

[Question]
They are considering using LP8860-Q1 under the following condition.

Vin=7 to 16V
Vf=32V
If=90mA/ch *4ch
fsw=2.2MHz

They refered to the summary of LP8860 EEPROM configurations, but they couldn't find the correct setting for them. So they are considering burning EEPROM with thier requirement in their production line. Are there any concerns to burn EEPROM in their production line?

No, there are no concerns with production line EEPROM programming

Hi,

Programming EEPROM of LP8860 is a correct way to use it. One thing is that TI will need to review new settings to avoid wrong settings for each target apps conditions.

Please go ahead make new EEPROM settings and send us for the review.

Thank you for your quick reply. Let me confirm if I got it. If they burn EEPROM with their requirement in production line, the data of EEPROM won't disappear even though the IC is shutdown. Is our understanding correct?

Yes, your understanding is correct.

Datasheet shows the procedure to burn new EEPROM values in register definition section.

EEPROM is non-volatile memory as you know, and keeps programmed value after power cycle.
