LP8556: Leakage current of VBOOST pin

Guru 29690 points

Hi Team,

The datasheet shows no specification of leakage current of VBOOST pin.
Is it possible case VBOOST leakage current shows up to 600uA when VBOOST is around 20V?
It is helpful if you have any data about it or internal schematic information.

Best Regards,
Yaita / Japan disty

  • Hi Yaita,

I just did a quick test, I disconnected the diode from the EVM, set vddio = 3.3V, vdd = 3.6V, force 20V on VBOOST pin, and I only measure ~50uA leakage into this pin.

  • Hi Hak-Leong,

Thank you for your support however I would just like to know if there is possibility that leakage current of VBOOST pin shows ~600uA or not.

My customer found it seems a few boards that LP8556 mounted shows large leakage current (~600uA) of VBOOST line in so many boards.
We don't have find out if the leakage current is attributed from LP8556 or another periferal device in his board so far.

In my opinion, it is possible case because there is no specification for leakage current of VBOOST pin.
What do you think about it? It is helpful if you have any data about it or internal schematic information.

    Best Regards,
    Yaita
