TPS92691EVM-752: TPS92691 Application Question

Part Number: TPS92691EVM-752

Hi Team,

We verfication simply PWM 240Hz into TPS92691EVM via TP8 and induce audio noise on board.

Could you help us to suggest how to solve this audio noise on the TPS92691EVM? Thanks.

Set up as below

  • Hello again Duke,

First I will say I can't determine 100% what you have connected, but it looks like you have some sort of DMM connected. That is ok of course, but the parasitics can make a difference. So the first thing I would do is connect it like it would be in the end app with a close source (or more input capacitance to account for lead lengths) and no DMM and see what the audible noise is like.

If there is still audible noise you should search E2E. There are many threads regarding this and it's almost always due to the ceramic capacitors and/or inductor. With some experimentation it can be eliminated. But try eliminating the parasitics first to be sure.

    Regards,

    Clint
