TLC5926: Issue while using TLC5926 to drive LED

Part Number: TLC5926

Hello,

I am using 3pcs of TLC5926 to drive 16 RGB LEDs, the TLC5926 chips are series connected (48-bit output control bit stream: 16(RED), 16(GREEN), 16(BLUE)), however, after the bit stream sent through and OE signal line is pulled low, the LEDs I want to light up flashed for very short time then disappeared, I've attached the waveform.  (Pink: Latch Enable,  Blue: OE,   Yellow: DATA, Green: Clock), I've double checked the Hardware and the clock number, it looks fine.  In the datasheet it says the current should sink as long as OE signal is pulled low after finishing sending control bit stream.  I wonder why the chip isn't constantly driving the LED.

  • Hi,

Please make sure the waveform meet the timing requirements in Figure 4.

You can also try by setting OE always LOW.

If not solved, please check the out waveform along with clock to check the waveform.

    Thanks,

    Regards,

    Kenneth
