TPS92602-Q1: How to choice TPS92602 Topology

Hi Team,

I want to use boost to battery topology of TPS92602. My condition is as bellow, V battery is 24V , maximum LED Vf is 53V, minimum LED Vf is 21V and maximum LED if is 700mA. Is it suitable?

The TPS92602 can support the spec as you described.

My concern is below. The maximum operate voltage of Vout pin is 75V. When V battery is 24V and Vf of LED is 53V, is Vout pin voltage 77V? over the spec?

Hi Janson,

Yes your concern is right. In that case, TPS92602 is not suitable. Sorry I thought 53V is the output voltage.

In this case, could I use SEPIC topoloy to achieve my requirement?

Hi Janson,

Yes, using SEPIC topology can meet that requirement. For SEPIC topology, the output voltage is the LED voltage.
