LP5523: LP5523TM/NOPB

Part Number: LP5523

Good morning,

I would like to use the Led driver PN LP5523 that is able to manage up to 9 Leds.

Since I need to drive more than 25mA on each channel, I would like to use 3 channels is parallel connecting 3 output together in order to drive 3 final Leds.

Do you confirm this can be done or anyhow we should avoid this.

Thanks a lot.

Best regards Edoardo.

  • Hi, Edoardo,

This is OK and please turn on/off these 3 channels together.

Please help to click "Resolve" if the problem is solved.

    Thanks.
    Regards,
    Kenneth
  • Hi Kenneth, yes all the channels will be activated together but since the enable are not in the same register could be this an issue?
Can I program sligtly different the current driven on the 9 channels or do I need to have all the channels part of the same Led perfectly aligned/equivalent?
In the past I used some laser drivers and there, I could modulate differently the channels connected to the laser. In that case I was able to manage with one channel the offset and with a second the modulation.
Thanks a lot for your support.
    Best regards Edoardo.
