LP5018: Normal-mode supply current with just one channel on

Part Number: LP5018

I was wondering if there was a specification for the Ivcc of this part with just one LED channel operating. The datasheet spec's this parameter as follows:

This seems like it's saying that with each channel sinking 10mA of current through an LED at the same time, the supply current for this part would be 10mA. I was curious if anyone knew what the supply current would be with just one LED channel sinking 2-10mA.

  • Hi, Joe,

Since the standby current when all channels are off is quite low to 10uA, the 10mA in normal mode is mostly related to the OUTx turning on.

So you can estimate by using 10mA for 18 channels. It should be lower for 2mA.

Please help to click "Resolve" if the problem is solved.

    Thanks.
    Regards,
