Hi Eli,
you mentioned the lighting LED - You mean the LED on the Board right? Is the LED of the USB-TO-GPIO Adapter lighting?
The screenshot shows in the right lower part the status of the interface as not functional. Do you see a chance to have try with a different USB Interface?
We are double-checking at the moment with our software group what can cause this behavior.
Kind Regards,
Florian
Emi,
thanks for the information's.
Did they try a different I2C Interface as well?
Do you know if the status LED of the USB-GPIO Interface is green?
Regards,
Florian
Hi Eli,
I get the same message as you have when I try the software on my PC. The reason is that I have Windows 7. Windows 7 is very different from the Windows XP or 2000 that the software was designed to run on (page 2 of the EVM UG). So, the software will not work on Windows 7.
Are you using Windows 7 or another OS besides XP/2000? Would it be possible to try using Windows 2000/XP?
Also, is the green light on the USB box on? If it is not on when it is plugged into the computer, then you need to try a different USB box.
Correct. The current software will not work with Windows 7.
Could you supply the customer's LED driver specs to make sure you are evaluating the best device? If the TPS61050 is the best fit, then we can see about updating the software to work on Windows 7.
Hi Eli,
thanks for the Info's.
Do you know if your customer has a chance to use an XP-based computer for the moment? It takes a bit of time to have a Win7 GUI available.
Regards,
Florian
Hello Eli,
we are at the moment working on a new Interface for Win7. This will take a few days. In the meanwhile we can try to set up a communication with a generic Interface. There we have to communicate on register level.
Please contact me directly via f-feckl@ti.com for supporting you with the appropriate interface.
Regards,
Florian
Dear Florian,
Did you had a chance on getting the application to work with Windows 7 ?
Thanks a lot !
Best regards,
Pierre-Alexandre
We are working on releasing the updated GUI to the web.
I sent you an email with the updated version.
I am having the same problem using Windows 7. Could I get the updated GUI?
Thank you!
Hi Brayden,
Could you please give me an email address? I will send you the latest version of TPS61050 GUI.
