LM3429 fSW & theta JC(junction to Case TOP)

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM3429

Dear, Sir.

My customer would like to set fSW=200kHz(around) to escape EMI issue.

Transconductance BW minimum 250kHz is defined on the datasheet.

The design for fSW=197.522kHz is successful using Webench.

1) Can LM3429 be utilze under  fSW=200kHz(around)?

They would like to check PCB thermal performance.

theta JC(Junction to exposed PAD) is defined on the detasheet.

However, temperature monitor on such point is impossible using actual assembled PCB.

2) Could you disclose the parameter of theta JC(Junction to case TOP)?

Best Regards,

  • Hello,

    1) Yes, you can do 200kHz. The switching frequency is adjustable from 100kHz to 2Mhz.

    2) Could you please send an email to victor.chen@ti.com and let us know the name of customer? We need to send a thermal modeling request in order to get the parameter.

    Best regards,

    Victor
