The θjc,θjb of TPS74301RGW and TPS74301RGW
I want to know the θjc,θjb of TPS74301RGW and TPS74301RGW.
I apologize that for this generation of our data sheets we were not reporting the thermal metrics as completely as we do now. But please also note that we no longer calculate the theta_jb because it has ceased to be relavant (it is calculated by forcing all heat through the board as if there were no parallel paths for power dissipation). On newer data sheets you will find a new thermal metric, PSI_jb, which is the replacement for Theta_jb, and which is very relavant to your "real" application - but unfortunately it was not reported for this part - I will try to find it (if it exists).
I will request back up information on your request for the theta_jc metric. However for identical packages in the same part family the PCB Thermal Calculator is reporting theta_jc = 2.4C/W for the RGW package, and theta_jc= 0.3C/W for the KTW package.
