Hi All,

I'd like to have your comment for the inserted waveform that is captured at current limited condition on LM1117. I understand that it was oscillated due to thermal shutdown by loading heavy current which is reach to current limit.

Is my understanding correct?

Sonoki,

If the device is operating at a temperature that initiates thermal shutdown, then the output will appear to oscillate as the device cools while disabled, and re-heats when enabled.

The waveform you have shown looks like this behavior.
