Aside from the availability of the LP2985-N in a BGA pkg, what is the difference between these two devices? There appears to be two different datasheets with identical specs.

LP2985-N was on the market first by (at the time) competitor National Semiconductor Company.
Later came LP2985 by TI as a second source (functionally equivalent) device.
Finally TI purchased NSC and now TI has both devices for purchase.
