Can the TL1963A be configured as a constant current source?

    Hi Craig,


    The TL1963A is basically a voltage controlled current source, so in theory yes it can be configured as a constant current source. With the load connected from OUT to SENSE and a sense resistor from SENSE to GND, the LDO would effectively regulate current through the sense resistor and therefor the load. Although, the practicality of this approach will depend on your specific application. Can you share some additional details about your project (ex. input voltage, load current, etc.)?
