can you please help to get more explanation on LM2937 paramter calculation, as listed in datasheet.

Hello All,

I am working on design where i am converting 15 V DC to 5V DC max current requirement is 300mA. i am using LM2937-5.

Can you please guide me how to calculate value of Cin and Cout ( input/output capacitor) for my requirement. as shown in fig below

and can you please guide me how to calculate this line and load regutaion in datasheet it is only mentioned only for 5mA current.

Hi Pooja Tiwari ,

As for the cap value, the typical value is Cin =0.1uf and Cout =10uF, they should meet your design requirements. You may also find more hints from datasheet page14 and 15.

For the Line regulation, the EC table tell us, when Iout = 5mA, the output voltage may shift 15mv typically (50mV maximally) when Vin changes from 7 to 26V, within full Operating temperature range.

For the Line regulation, it means, the output voltage may shift 5mv(50mV maximally) when Iout changes from 5mA to 500mA, within full Operating temperature range.
