TLV70528 turn on inrush current rating

Hi Expert,

My customer measured TLV70528 turn on inrush current in their system board and found the peak current is around 700mA @ 40us, so they would like to know can our chip handle this short pulse current or what is our pulse current spec.?

BTW, the customer's design spec. is Vin=3.3V and Vout=2.8V.

Please advise.

Hi Ryan,

Customer measured this inrush current after IC out pin and before output cap. they cut the trace and use current probe to measure the current.

Hi Paul,

The device is limiting the current in order to protect the device; therefore, you should be ok.
